BRA produced a fine fielding and bowling display to overcome Limavady in a low scoring quarter-final tie.

They looked second favourites as chasing 116 Limavady reached 72 for 3, but the dismissals of Tommy Orr (26) and Ross McLaughlin (19) proved crucial.

Scoreboard pressure told and the hosts were bowled out for 98 with Luka Johnston (3-13), Harry Warke (2-0) and Robbie Linden (2-31) the main wicket takers.

Earlier stunning catches by Robert McFarland and Tommy Orr had removed BRA dangermen Max Burton and Harry Warke cheaply, but the Belfast side rallied to reach 115 for 8 in their 25 overs.

They were helped by 31 extras as Limavady's attack lost its radar somewhat.

Kane top scored with 24, while Johnston's made a quick 16 at the end.

Andy Scott took three wickets in an over to finish with 3 for 10, while there was one wicket apiece for Robbie Millar, Corin Kyte, Tommy Orr and Ross McLaughlin.

BRA now face holders RBAI in the semi-finals. The final is scheduled to take place at Muckamore on Friday June 14th.
