The Ulster Plate gets under way this weekend with the first round in the competition between the top eight intermediate teams in the NCU and NW regions.

Two recent winners meet at Beechgrove as 2015 winners Brigade face 2013 victors North Down.

Holders and three times winners Donemana have home advantage against Instonians, while CSNI take on two-times champions Bready at Stormont.

2017 victors CIYMS have home advantage over Glendermott, while also in the NCU, Carrickfergus face Bonds Glen and Waringstown entertain Ardmore.

Two previous winners are in action at Ballymagorry, when 2011 champions Fox Lodge play the 2012 victors Muckamore.

Eglinton II are the first team through to the last eight having been given a walkover against Cliftonville Academy.
