Jersey travelled to Guernsey for the first-ever T20I international matches for both islands, and recorded a 3-0 clean sweep in the InfrasoftTech T20I Inter-Insular Cup series.
Although the first match went to a dramatic super-over decider, the second and third games saw Jersey record comprehensive victories, by margins of 41 runs and 78 runs.
The opening match on Friday afternoon saw Jersey restricted to 128 in their 20 overs with Blampied, Bisson and Hawkins-Kay all falling in the mid-twenties. Guernsey exactly equalled this as Miles took three wickets. Although Barker began the super over with two sixes, Jonty Jenner made the required 15 runs with a ball to spare.
The Saturday morning game saw Jersey again bat first but this time Ferraby (81) and Ben Stevens (39) put the Guernsey bowlers to the sword; with late support from Blamped (25) Jersey finished their overs with a formidable total of 164. Although Butler and Stokes combined for a third wicket partnership of 63, Chuggy Perchard then cut through the Guernsey middle order in a spell of five wickets for just 17 runs as Guernsey could make only 123.
The final match went much the same way as the second with Jersey running up an even higher total of 171 in which Carlyon made 50 and Blamped an unbeaten 43. Guernsey's batsmen continued to struggle and could accumulate 95 in reply as Blamped underlined his all-round ability with four wickets.
