Phoenix hammered Eglinton, while NW woes continued as a Ruhan Pretorius inspired North Down ended Donemana's hopes in the rearranged Irish Senior Cup games.

Half centuries from Nic Pretorius (94), Louis McDonough (79), Simi Singh (70), and Poonish Mehta saw Phoenix rack up an imposing 382 for 5 against Eglinton.

It was a chastening experience for the understrength NW side, wit Lee Ritchie the best of their attack, claiming 3 for 58.

To run salt into their wounds, it was a former Eglinton player who did the damage when they batted - Gordy Millar taking 5 for 56, assisted by two wickets each for Ben Beecroft and Mehta.

Scott Adair's 85 and 28 from Dylan McElhatton ensured respectability, as they posted 199.

North Down bounced back from Saturday's cup reverse to beat Donemana at Comber.

Andy McBrine (58) and 27 apiece from Bilal Iqbal and William McClintock saw them make 168 - Ruhan Pretorius taking four wickets.

Pretorius then ensured a home tie with CSNI as he hit an unbeaten 92 from 96 balls (9 fours, 1six) to seal the five wicket win.
