Peet Pienaar and Mark Chambers' first-wicket stand of 378 for Ardmore against Sligo is a record in an Irish senior match, behind an army match back in 1895, and 459 for Fox Lodge seconds 15 years ago.

Pienaar hit 30 fours and 13 sixes in his 257 from his 141 balls, while Chambers faced 100 balls for his 98, which included 11 boundaries.

The previous record partnership for an Irish National Cup match was 225 by Sadaat Gull and Shahid Iqbal for Rush against Dundrum in 2015, with the other two partnerships above 200 in the competition were 212 between Mark Doherty and Stephen McCay for Burndennett against Donaghcloney in 2012.

The Irish Senior Cup record is 296* by Andrew Poynter and Colin Currie for Clontarf against St Johnston in 2014.

Below are a list of the partnerships over 300 that leading cricket writer, journalist and statistician Ger Siggins has compiled.
