Irish internationals Robyn Lewis and Kim Garth were in scintillating form helping YMCA and Pembroke to wins in the Women's League against Malahide and Merrion.

Lewis hit 12 fours and a six in an unbeaten 96 from 72 balls as YMCA racked up 161 for 1 against Malahide.

She dominated stands of 77 with Kerrie Tomlinson (28) and 84 in just 51 balls with Lucy Small (14*) in an impressive display of controlled aggression.

Malahide made a brave fist of it, but Lewis completed a fine all-round display as she claimed two wicket as the villagers fell 11 runs short.

Kim Garth hit a brilliant undefeated 66 as Pembroke overcame Merrion by six wickets, passing their 128 target with 9 balls to spare.

Garth found the boundary six times in her 57-ball stay, finding excellent support from fellow Irish international Shauna Kavanagh (23).

Celeste Raack took 2 for 18, and the Aussie born Irish international also top scored with 23 in the Merrion total of 127 for 6 - Leah Paul (22) and Cecelia Joyce (20) also getting starts.

Five of the six Pembroke bowlers used got a wicket, with skipper Mary Waldron among them as she took a time-out from behind the stumps.
