Leinster Bolts claimed back-to-back wins against the Danish XI to take an unassailable three-nil lead in the five match series.

Both games followed similar patterns, with the hosts setting targets which they were able to defend comfortably on a slow track at College Park.

In the morning game, Eddie Richardson (46) led the way for the Bolts, with The Hills' Cormac McLoughlin Gavin chipping in with 30 in their total of 141 for 6.

Pick of the Danish attack was Jino Jojo with 3-17 off his four overs.

Skipper Hamid Shah (35) yet again top scored in the Danes reply, sharing a second wicket partnership of 62 in 11 overs with Anique Uddin (30).

Bolts held their nerve and as the boundaries dried up, the required rate climbed to leave 50 needed off five overs with seven wickets in hand.

Jarred Barnes (3-23) and Fiachra Tucker both got among the wickets to stall the chase, and in the end it petered out to finish 21 runs adrift.

In the evening game, yet another second wicket partnership - this time between Merrion's Patrick Tice (48) and Pembroke's Theo Lawson (33) was key in building a solid foundation for the Bolts as they added 64 in 10 overs.

Nicolaj Damgaard (4-23) bowled superbly to rock the hosts' middle order, but Tice and Greg Ford (24*) got them up to 138.

The Danes reply never garnered any momentum, with only Wahab Hashmi making 32 off 31 as  the visitors struggled to close on 108/8.

All six bowlers took a wicket, Fionn Hand (2-21) and Mitchell Thompson (2-20) picking up a second each.

The two sides play the last two games in the five-match series on Friday at 11am and 4pm with both games once again at Trinity College and entrance is of course free.
