Our previews of the 18 Premier and Section One clubs end with a look at Armagh who after clinching Section One in 2017 were relegated from the Premier League in 2018.

Armagh predictably returned to Section 1 after their one year stay in the Premier League, but in the hope that their squad will have learned plenty from the experience.

Captain Matthew Steenson remains at the helm for 2019 and hopes that his side will be refreshed and ready to go for the new campaign.

“We were under no illusions how tough last season was going to be and even after a decent start things got tougher when Van Schalkwyk was called home early. But, the boys stuck it out and plenty will have gained a lot from the season.

"Their challenge now is to perform again in Section 1 which looks incredibly competitive this year with little between a lot of the sides.”

Armagh have added the services of Rohit Karanjkar who came so close to helping Lurgan escape relegation last season and he will be hoping to make the most of the wickets on the Mall.
