North County enjoyed a strong season in 2018, but they will be missing Malcolm Nofal who enjoyed such a prolific campaign. He's replaced by fellow South African Yassar Cook.

Cook is a top-order right hander who also bowls occasional medium pace, and has played 52 first-class matches for Gauteng and North West in his native South Africa.

He averages just under 30, having scored three centuries and 13 fifties.

He has overseas experience, playing for Purton CC in the UK, where he scored 1497 runs at 78.79 in all formats.

Dhram Singh joins from Railway Union, and with players of the caliber of Eddie Richardson and Jamie Grassi in their ranks, County will always be a challenge for teams, especially at Inch.

New skipper Jonathan Andrews looked ahead to the season saying:

"Pre-season has been going really well and the team can't wait to get started.

"We are a young side but with players like Andrew Sheridan and Jamie Grassi this side has a lot of potential.

"I'm hoping for a big season from us."
