After a quiet winter in the North West, there have been a number of personnel changes in recent days with another couple confirmed over the weekend. Stephen Dunn has joined Eglinton having spent the last couple of seasons at Ardmore.

The village club lost Ross Allen to Brigade recently and the rumours refuse to go away that Stuart Thompson is set to move over the Glenshane before the start of the season.

Eglinton remain defiant however and a spokesman insisted today that they would be ready for the start of the new campaign either way.

"Stevie Dunn is a quality signing for us and will add a cutting edge to our attack. He is a proven performer at Premiership level and we have no doubt he will be a success here.

"Mike Earlank will return as overseas professional and he made a big impact in his first season with us. Mike will help us continue to develop the young talent at the club.

"As far as Stuart is concerned he has kept us informed of his Interprovincial and International committments all along. We know Stuart won't be available for much of the club season regardless."

Decker Curry is another player to have been linked with the villagers but it seems likely at this stage that the former Ireland International will stay put at Ardmore.

Adam McDaid has been training with the North West Warriors over the winter and the much-travelled batsman is being linked with a move to Ballyspallen for the 2019 season.
