Isobel Joyce has been appointed to the role of Women's and Girls Development Officer by Cricket Leinster.

Joyce won 168 caps during a stellar career at international level, captaining her side on a record 62 occasions.

She retired following the T20 World Cup in the West Indies late last year, and recently took up a role coaching with Clontarf, which she will continue as well as her new position.

She is due to start with Leinster on May 1st, and they are delighted to have secured the services of such a high caliber candidate.

"Isobel will bring a wealth of experience, expertise, passion and dedication to this role based on her brilliant sporting career to-date both on and off the field of play.

"Her appointment is a strong message about our strategic commitment to develop and transform female cricket in Leinster both in terms of performance and participation."
