Ireland pace bowler Boyd Rankin has confirmed he will be staying in England to play for Moseley in the Birmingham Premier League.
There had been hopes that the 34 year-old would make a return to boyhood club Bready, but despite being classed as an overseas player, he has been snapped up by the English club.
Rankin though will travel back to Ireland to play for the NW Warriors in the interprovincial series.
There was interest too from several NCU clubs, but with his girlfriend based in Birmingham, his preference was to play club cricket there.
With Ireland having a busy schedule in 2019, his availability for club cricket may indeed be severely restricted.
