Ballyspallen have targeted Brendon Louw as their overseas professional for the 2019 season.
The South West Districts player turns 27 this week, and has played 89 matches as a wicket-keeper batsman.
He has been a consistent performer in South African provincial cricket having scored three hundreds and 22 half centuries, averaging just over 28.
He has UK experience, having played the last three seasons for clubs in England with some success.
Ballyspallen are back in the top flight of NW cricket having beaten Ardmore in the play-off encounter.
One of the consequences of their promotion is that their current overseas player Darnell McCallum is ineligible for Premiership cricket under the guidelines, seeking the Bridge Park club to source a replacement.
