Ireland captain William Porterfield has been handed a one-match ban by Cricket Ireland.

In total, the disciplinary committee handed out three bans and five warnings in the eight cases that came to their attention this season.

Porterfield received the ban for his reaction to being adjudged lbw to Josh Little during the 50-over decider between the NW Warriors and Leinster Lightning at Rathmines on September 9th.

Standing umpires Roly Black and Scott Richardson brought the charge.

He will miss the first interprovincial fixture of the 2019 season.

Other players receiving one-match bans were Stephen Kennedy of Ballyspallen and Andre Henry of Killyclooney after being reported during National Cup matches.

Warnings were issued to Stuart Thompson and Peter Eakin for games in the T20 interpro at Pembroke, while Allen Coulter (CIYMS), Poonish Mehta (Merrion) received warnings after being reported in Irish Senior Cup matches.

Waqas Ali Raja of County Galway also received a warning during their National Cup semi-final against Limerick.
