Kevin O'Brien and Paul Stirling's Kandahar Knights team have lost both of their opening matches at the Afghan T20 Premier League in Sharjah.

Stirling scored 18 (2 fours and a six), and O'Brien 22 (3 fours) as they lost their opening match on Saturday against Nangarhar Leopards.

Australian international Ben Cutting took five wickets for the opposition as they won by six wickets.

Sunday's match against early leaders Balkh Legends saw Stirling make 20 and O'Brien 1 as they lost by 13 runs chasing 165.

Colin Munro's quick-fire 46 proved to be the decisive contribution of the match.

Kandahar Knights' next game is on Thursday against Rashid Khan's Kabul side.
