There was a remarkable game between the second XI's of North County and The Hills which saw three hundreds scored by Dublin teenagers.

North County batted first at Inch and scored 279 with County skipper Sean Rooney leading the way as he made 105 from 121 balls, hitting 11 fours and a six.

Harry Archer took three wickets, while there two apiece for Ryan Tobin and Cian Nulty.

The Hills reply started with a superb opening partnership of 210 in 41 overs between young batting prodigies Harry Archer and Ryan Tobin.

Matching each other run for run, they passed the landmark in the same over.

Archer hit 13 fours and a six in his 100 from 122 balls.

Tobin went on make an undefeated 136 from 156 balls, striking 19 fours and 2 sixes in a wonderful exhibition of strokeplay.

Rooney, however took four wickets to derail the run chase, with The Hills falling six runs adrift of their target.

A superb contest which showcased all that is good with Leinster cricket.

Credit to both teams for such a wonderful exhibition in the local derby, which was played in such a sporting manner throughout.
