Allen Coulter's four-wicket haul and a vital 45 from Jason van der Merwe ensured CIYMS clinched the Premier title with a 42-run win at home to CSNI.

Defending 117, Coulter claimed the prize wicket of Marc Ellison, and with Andre Malan back in South Africa, CSNI never threatened to chase down their 118 target.

Coulter also claimed the wicket of Morgan Topping, and finished of the match in style by bowling Matthew Foster and Alan Blain first ball.

James Cameron-Dow took 2 for 12, while there was also a wicket apiece for Matt McGillivray, Jacob Mulder and skipper Nigel Jones.

Batting first, CIYMS had wobbles of their own as they slipped to 41 for 4, with two wickets apiece for Foster and Topping.

However, their depth was there for all to see as they recovered to post 117 for 7, thanks primarily to 45 from Jason van der Merwe (4 fours, 1 six).

A fully deserved title triumph for the Belmont side, who have been without doubt the most clinical and consistent team in the Premiership this season.
