TEMPLEPATRICK are on course to win the NCU Section Two title after a four wickets victory over Academy in their top of the table clash on Sunday.

Both teams had won their first 10 games – without being tested – and Templepatrick confirmed they are top dogs in the league, following up their Junior Cup final win 15 days earlier, with victory in their only league game.

Ricky Greer top scored for Templepatrick with 42 as they chased down Academy’s 104 in the 30th over with Daniel McFadden tieing the scores with a four and next ball clinching the decisive victory with a six.

Both teams have two games left with Larne and bottom of the table Dundrum, on Sunday, Templepatrick’s remaining opponents.
