Reece Malone's powerful half century propelled the NCU to a comfortable five-wicket win against St Joseph's at Woodvale.

The 'Derriaghy Destroyer' clubbed 6 fours and 3 sixes on his way to a top score of 56 as the NCU chased down their target of 150 in just 11 overs.

Archie Johnston (31), Harry Warke (17) and Sam Gordon, who hit 3 fours and 2 sixes in his unbeaten 26 from just 12 balls all chipped in as the 151 target was passed with 24 overs to spare.

The St Joseph's total of 150 was based primarily around Keelan Waldock's 67 (8 fours, 1 six) as he added 70 in 11 overs with Josh Bowyer (32*).

Ethan Hanna was the pick of the attack taking 4 for 32, while Matthew Foster and Hugh Minford took two wickets apiece in an impressive bowling display.
