The NCU levelled their Under 11 interpro series against Leinster when they won a thrilling encounter in Ringcommons.

Adam Leckey's brilliant unbeaten 65 guided the young Knights run chase in North Dublin, as they won by three wickets in a tense battle which ebbed and flowed throughout.

Chasing 138, two wickets apiece from Sebastian Dijkstra (2-30) and Olly Reilly (2-12) gave the hosts the advantage, but Leckey stood firm to lead the junior Knights home.

Earlier Olly Reilly had top scored with 51 in the Leinster total of 137 for 8, with Reuben Wilson (36) and Shawaiz Atif (10) also reaching double figures.

Michael Holloway (2-22) and Mark Hanna (2-18) were best with the ball for the NCU.

The series is an independent one between the two Unions, who also arranged an U13 interpro series earlier this month following the decision by Cricket Ireland to scrap the U11 and U13 interprovincial competitions.
