Donemana won the Midweek Cup after they beat Killyclooney by six wickets in a high scoring encounter at Bonds Glen.

Chasing 135 in 16 overs, the Donemana reply got off to a poor start as Scott Laird and Ritchie McBrine both fell to catches in the deep to leave them 19 for 2.

Skipper Mark Moore in conjunction with Levi Dougherty got the chase back on track as they added 90 in nine overs, with Moore hitting 3 fours and 3 sixes in his 47, while Dougherty went one better, hitting 4 sixes and 3 fours in a powerful 48.

Both fell near the end but Paul and Jimmy Britton each hit unbeaten 13's to seal the win with 8 balls to spare.

The Killyclooney total of 135 for 6 was dominated by Alan Colhoun who hit 5 sixes and 3 fours in his 57, while skipper Tim Dougherty made 24.

Joe Robinson and Christopher Neely took two wickets, while Ritchie McBrine and Levi Dougherty took the others.

Dougherty pipped Moore and Colhoun to the Man of the Match award.

There was consolation for Killyclooney as they received the League trophy having beaten Donemana last week to finish above them and Fox Lodge.
