Even as the presentations were being made the talk was of a repeat next year with Tournament Director Uel Graham announcing that a booking had already been made with hosts Campbell College for 2019.

The Lord Mayor of Belfast was again in attendance to present medals and copies of NCU President Clarence Hiles' book 'History of Senior Cricket in Ulster' to the players and coaches.

Thanks were expressed by all the team coaches to the NCU as organisers, to Belfast City Council for their support of the initiative, to the Headmaster of Campbell College and his staff who had made their stay so enjoyable, to the hosting clubs CIYMS and CSNI and the Umpires Association.

In the end the weather was better than the forecasters had predicted and for that we are grateful.

Festival 2019 is going to happen it seems, so as we always say - "All we need now is the weather."

"Safe home," to all our visitors and "Haste Ye Back."
