It was the battle of the big hitters as Irish international Clare Shillington's Pembroke beat Kerry Tomlinson's Clontarf at Sydney Parade.

Clontarf's Tomlinson has been in imperious form in recent weeks and followed up her Cup final heroics with another century, hitting 10 fours and 5 sixes in exactly 100 from just 56 balls.

She added 136 with Tess Maritz as Clontarf posted what looked a challenging 158 for 3.

However, Shillington clubbed 7 fours and 4 sixes in her 76, as Pembroke coasted to the win with five overs to spare - helped by wayward Clontarf bowling which saw them concede 22 wides and 4 no-balls.

Another overseas player in fine touch was Paris Crowe who followed up her three wickets with a half century as Malahide beat YMCA by 8 wickets - Caoimhe McCann hitting an undefeated 40.

In the final game, Irish skipper Laura Delany hit an unbeaten 49 to guide Leinster to a seven wicket win at The Hills.

Sophie MacMahon chipped in with 25 as they chased 109.
