Leinster U13s suffered a chastening 176-run defeat against Cheshire in their latest match at the Taunton Festival.

Cheshire racked up a huge total of 312 for 5, with Harry Walker scoring 108 and Gary Lomas making 82.

Clontarf's John McNally (2-34) was the pick of the young Dubliners attack, with Srihan Karpe (2-37) and Daniel Forkin (1-51) the other successful bowlers.

Leinster's batting struggled throughout the chase, and they were bowled out for a disappointing 136.

Railway Union's Phillipe Le Roux top scored with 36, while John McNally (23) and Daniel Forkin (16) were the only other players to reach double figures.

Leinster have the chance to finish the tournament on a high as they take on Cornwall in their final game on Friday.
