Leinster skipper Gareth Delany overjoyed as Leinster secured their T20 finals days slot with an emphatic 43-run win over North County at Inch.
The Rathmines side may be having a disappointing season in the Premier League, but broke the shackles on Wednesday night with a free-flowing batting performance which set up the win.
"I'm naturally delighted with the win and the chance to be involved in the T20 finals day in Pembroke," Delany told CricketEurope.
"I was really impressed with our batting display, particularly the intent and positivity that we showed, especially Saqib, who’s 25 ball 50 really put us in a good position at the break.
"We did exactly what we wanted in the first six overs of their reply, taking three big wickets and never really allowed them a chance.
"It was also really good to see the young guys step up in the game as well."
Leinster join defending champions Clontarf, Merrion and YMCA in the finals day at Sydney Parade on Sunday August 4th.
