Seamus Lynch hit a brilliant 60 to lead Leinster Under 17s to a comfortable 6-wicket win against Munster at The Mardyke.
The Terenure teenager hit 7 fours and a six in a top score of 60 from just 62 balls as the Dubliner chased 160 to win with 22 overs to spare.
Stephen Black (24), Harry Archer (13), David O'Halloran (12) and skipper SJ De Klerk (16*) all made double figures but the successful chase was dominated by the powerful Lynch.
Kieran O'Reilly (2-42), Zubair Khan (1-10), and Seanan Jones (1-24) were the successful bowlers for the home side.
Earlier, Seanan Jones' 30 was the highlight of Munster's total of 160, with Liam Edwards (24) and Luke O'Reilly (18*) the other main contributors.
The Leinster bowling unit all performed strongly, with two wickets apiece for Daniel Swift (2-17), Max Collins (2-22), JJ Walsh (2-26), and Harry Archer (2-30).
The teams meet again on Thursday in the second and final game of the short series.
