Leinster Under 17 girls bounced back from two losses on the opening day to beat Norfolk and Buckinghamshire at the Malvern Festival.

Skipper Cliodhna O'Reardon led the way with an unbeaten 47 and Sarah Forbes chipped in with 22 as Leinster made 107 for 7 against Norfolk.

A tremendous bowling display backed up by an excellent display in the field saw Norfolk restricted to 99, to seal an 8-run win.

Maria Kerrison took the bowling honours with 3 for 8.

Kerrison was again to the fore as Leinster defeated Buckinghamshire.

She took 2 for 28 as Bucks made 123 for 5.

Sarah Forbes (36) and Cliodhna O'Reardon (26) led a successful chase as they passed the target with two overs and three wickets to spare.

The tournament concludes on Thursday.
