Maria Kerrison (pictured) took five wickets to lead Leinster U17 Girls to a hard-fought two wicket against Ireland U15 girls at Railway Union.

The Leinster bowler claimed 5 for 20 as Ireland were dismissed for 88, with Malahide's Sarah Condron also taking 3 for 18.

Ella Pasley (22) was the only batter to make an impression in a match dominated by the bowlers.

The Leinster girls found the going equally challenging, being indebted to an important 15 from The Hills' Cliodhna O'Readon playing a skipper's innings in the two wicket win.

The Hills' Jane Maguire bowled exceptionally well for the Irish to take 2-6, while Pembroke's Anna Beale claimed 2 for 13.

This match served as great work-out for both sides ahead of a busy schedule in the coming weeks.
