Hills teenager Ryan Tobin scored a quite superb 169 for The Hills in their win against Laois in Division Eight at the weekend.

The 17 year-old hit 21 fours and a six in his 148 ball innings, sharing a opening stand of 184 with William Archer who made 75.

The score is one of the highest by a youth playing in a senior game, with Stephen Doheny's 259 for Rush in the National Cup the record.

Tobin spent three months in South Africa last year in a bid to improve his game, and is predicted for a bright future in the game.
