Leinster began a week of U15 interprovincial action with a resounding 108-run win over the NCU at North County.

Rush batsman Jack McGee top scored with 80, sharing an opening stand of 53 with Kenure colleague Nathan McGuire (31). Tim Tector (11) fell early, but McGee added a further 73 with Leinster's Clint McKay (26) to wrest back the initiative.

Wilhelm De Klerk made a quickfire 35, and although Matthew Daly and Ewan Wilson took two wickets apiece to give the NCU hope, it was quickly extinguished by an unbroken 8th wicket stand of 62 between Jamie Forbes (54*) and David Vincent (25*) as the defending champions posted 312 for 7.

Shane Burke and Adam Ly fell early in the reply, but the NCU rallied with Matthew Humphreys and Ben Beattie (22) adding 67 for the 3rd wicket.

Scoreboard pressure began to tell and Humhreys was run out for a well played 59 (7 fours) by excellent fielding from Clontarf youngster David Vincent.

Matthew Daly clubbed 5 fours and a six in his 34 from just 28 balsl, but Leinster completed a resounding 108-run win.

Hugo Neville (3-27) was the most successful of the Leinster bowling unit, while there were two wickets apiece for the YMCA pair of Wilhelm de Klerk and Jamie Forbes.

Meanwhile at The Hills, the Southern XI completed a fine six wicket win over the NW.

Batting first, the NW were soon in trouble as early wickets from Cian Egerton, Luke O'Reilly and Ahmed Shah had them reeling at 45 for 4.

Raymond Curry counterattacked, hitting 11 fours in a top score of 67 from 76 balls to give the NW something to bowl at.

Tom Harpur (31), Ross McLaughlin (23*) and Brooke Crumley (15) all chipped in as the NW were dismissed for 193 with ten overs unused.

Phoenix's Ahmed Shah took three wickets, while there were two each for Cian Egerton and Killian McGrane, playing on his home ground.

Abulla Tariq (41) and Andrew Tonge (39) put on an opening stand of 88 to give their team an excellent start. Henry Thompson (13) and Luke Whelan (19) both reached double figures to keep the Southern XI on top, and the textbook run chase was completed by Cian Egerton who hit 6 fours in an unbeaten 43, adding 53 for the 5th wicket with Ahmed Shah (16*).

Tom Harpur (1-37) and Raymond Curry (1-41) were the successful NW bowlers.
