Andy Britton has won the Player of the Round award in round two of the NW Senior Cup.

The Brigade skipper rescued his side from a precarious 40 for 7, scoring 83 as he and Kyle Magee shared a century stand to help Brigade to 210.

He also took 2 for 20 in the 71-run win.

Brigade now face a trip to Donemana in the semi-final on Sunday, while Newbuildings host Eglinton in the other.

Britton received his award from Strabane's Peter Gillespie in their league game on Saturday.

He was once again among the runs but despite his 85, his team fell 16 runs short.
