Last weekend's National Cup 2nd round games saw Limerick defeat Cregagh by 1 wicket at the Market's Field. Cregagh batted first and scored 208-8 with Mudassar Aziz taking 3 wickets for 28 and Hashir Sultan taking 3-33. In reply, Limerick got home by the slenderest of margins scoring 209-9 with Arsalan Khalid contributing 58 with strong support from Murtaza Siddiqi 54 and Farman Yousafzai with 47.
County Kerry will consider themselves fortunate to escape from their home game with DLR County with a 12 run victory. Jonathan Boulding with 43 and Khurram Iqbal with 42 helped Kerry to a moderate total of 177. In reply, DLR County were bowled out for 165 with skipper, Kashif Khan taking 4-16 and Yakoob Ali taking 3-36.
Co Galway were surprise winners over Holywood by a 7 wicket margin with Kumail Jaffry top scoring with 68 of Galway's total of 139-3. Earlier, Holywood were restricted to 138-9.

In the Premier Division, Cork Harlequins provided the shock of the day with a 41 run victory over rivals Cork County at the Mardyke.. A 111 run partnership between Ru Jones (57) and Mubeen Ali (53) saw Quins post a score of 207-8 from their 50 overs. In relpy, the County innings never got going with County finding themselves 6 wickets down for just 58 runs before Mohammad Saddique steadied the ship with 32. Noel Cronin added 26 and Farrukh added 20 before both players were caught in the deep by Zuhair Shah sparking wild celebrations by the Quins players as Quins go top of the table. Senan Jones, the victorious Southern XI Under 17's captain, took 3 wickets for 25.
County will have a quick opportunity for revenge as the sides meet at Farmer's Cross this Sunday in the reverse fixture.
In the Junior Cup quarter finals Midleton defeated Limerick by 69 runs with Like Deane (53), Mohammad Maqbool (50) and Rob Smyth (48) the main contributors in posting a total of 247. In reply, Limerick were bowled out for 178 in 35 overs with Zubair Rehman top scoring with 62*.
Danish Iqbal with 4-36 and Manan Gujjar with 4-28 were the top wicket takers for Midleton.
In the other quarter-final, Cork Harlequins proved too strong for Tipperary County with a 64 run victory. Senan Jones top scored with 71 supported by Mustak Mardan with 56. Tipperary County were bowled out for 164 in 39 overs with Kannan Sree scoring 43 while Eric Cotter took 4 for 45 to see Quins into the semi-finals where they face rivals Cork County. In the second semi-final, Midleton travel to the Kingdom to face Co Kerry on July 14th.
In the Division 2 T20 Bash, Tipperary County and Limerick progress from Pool 1 while Midleton and Cork Harlequins progress from Pool 2.
In Division 3, Lismore made it three wins from three to move to second in the table with a 5 wicket win over Cork County at Castle Farm. A youthful Cork Harlequins side traveled to the Oyster Oval on Saturday and came away with a 7 wicket victory. Jonathan Boulding top scored for North Kerry with 79 before being run out. North Kerry finished on 192 all out but Quins chased the target down in 34 overs with Barry Vosloo and Jackson Gilbert both unbeaten on 64 and 37 respectively.
In the other Division 3 game, Limerick had a narrow 12 run victory over Waterford and District at the Manor Fields. Limerick scored 169 from their 40 overs while Waterford & District managed 157 from their 40 overs.
