The line-up for the GMcG Junior Cup semi-finals will not be known until Sunday after rain washed out two of the quarter-finals last Saturday when Templepatrick and Cliftonville Academy booked their places in emphatic style.

Johnny Terrett hit a majestic, unbeaten 139 and David Menaul 73 in Cliftonville Academy’s 255-3 and Waqas Mohammad then took four wickets as Ards could manage only 124.

They will be away to Carrickfergus II or Instonians II in the last four.

Templepatrick will be at home to either Dundrum or Lisburn II in the semi-finals on Saturday week, after hammering Ballymena by 174 runs at The Cloghan.

They topped Cliftonville Academy’s score by two runs but lost six wickets, Ricky Greer top scoring with 83. Ross Bryans and Michael Stewart then each took three wickets as Ballymena were skittled for 79.
