There were wins in the T20 Championship for Bonds Glen in a thrilling run chase against Newbuildings, while Glendermott were too strong for Burndennett at The Rectory.
South African Clinton Pienaar clubbed 8 fours and 5 sixes in a whirlwind 63 from just 22 balls as Newbuildings posted what looked a formidable total of 190 for 7.
Tommy Thompson (41*) and Chris Cooper (25) were also among the runs, while there were two wickets apiece for Lee Britton (2-14) and Derek Curry (2-22).
Ewald Roberts made a brisk 44, but five wickets for Jason Dunn (5-25) looked to have sealed the win as the Bee Gees were reduced to 127 for 7 in the 14th over.
However, and unbroken 8th wicket stand off 66 in just 36 balls between Leslie Curry (43*) and David Robinson (30*) stunned Newbuildings as the win was achieved with two balls to spare courtesy of a huge six by Curry.
The other match at The Rectory was more routine as half centuries from Bob Robinson (63) and David Cooke saw Glendermott beat Burndennett by seven wickets.
The pair a second wicket stand of 76, with Robinson hitting 10 fours and 2 sixes in his 63, while Cooke found the boundary nine times in his 50 from 34 balls.
Burndennett had earlier posted 138 for 9, with Eddie McGettigan top scoring with 35 and Mattie Barr making 31.
Ian Cooke took 3 for 35, while younger sibling Gordon took 2 for 32.
The games in both groups continue over the weekend.
