Clare Shillington thumped an unbeaten 68 as Typhoons beat the Scorchers by ten wickets at Angelsea Road in the latest round of the Super 3 Series.

Shillington hit 10 fours and one maximum from just 40 balls, sharing an unbroken opening stand of 107 in just 73 balls with Australian overseas player Tilly Lugg who hit three boundaries in an unbeaten 26.

The Typhoons were chasing a modest target of 102 after a horror batting display by the Scorchers - Isobel Joyce excepted. J

Joyce hit 9 fours in a 31-ball half century, but the other ten batters managed just a combined 25 - the same total as extras, as they were blown away by the Typhoons attack.

The Leinster duo of Amy Kenealy (3-13) and Vanessa Kaleda (2-13) did most of the damage, with wickets also for Celeste Raack, Natasha Morton, Leah Paul, and Louise Little. T

The T20 action continues at Oak Hill on Sunday when the teams will play three Super 3 matches.
