The North West's newest club Grove Hill made their debut in the Midweek League on Wednesday night, and got off to a winning start.

The team will play their home matches at The Bleachgreen and are composed mainly of Ardmore players, although it was two Sion Mills players who were the stars of the show in a tense low-scoring victory over Newbuildings.

Veteran Lee McGonigle claimed a hat-trick as Newbuildings were dismissed for 59.

However, Grove Hill found the going equally tough and were indebted to Jim McGranaghan's 24, and important contributions from brothers Conor and Darren Coyle to get them over the line.
