Cregagh blew away Lurgan in their preliminary round clash of the Senior Challenge Cup with a thoroughly emphatic 8-wicket at Pollock Park.
Leon Moore was the destroyer-in-chief with his four-wicket haul as Luragn collapsed alarmingly to 46 for 9, needing a last wicket stand of 30 to offer any semblance of respectability.
David McCormick was also among the wickets claiming 3 for 15 in a superb ten over spell, while there was a wicket apiece for Beattie, Hassard and Irvine.
Cregagh were positive in their modest chase, with Jonny Moore thumping three sixes in his 34 from just 29 balls, while there were also double figure contributions from Matthew Simpson (11), Mark Johnston (13*), and Aaron Johnston (17*).
Andrew Bingham (2-18) took two consolation wickets, but it was very much Cregagh's day and they will now have a home tie against Instonians on May 26.
They will be joined in the first round by Bangor who proved too strong for Laurelvale at Upritchard Park.
Solid contributions from Adam McCusker (48), Ricky McLarnon (41) and Qamar Zaman (39*) saw them post 213 for 9, with Amjal (3-39) the pick of the attack.
Laurelvale struggled against the home side attack and were dismissed for 113 - four wickets for Zaman to complete a fine all-round match, while the evergreen Taimur Khan picked up 3 for 9 in the 100-run win.
Zaman was spotted playing tape-ball cricket in a local car park by Bangor and today was his first match on a grass wicket, despite being in Ireland for 13 years.
I suspect it won't be his last!
Bangor now take on fellow Section One side Downpatrick for a place on the quarter-finals.
