The first trial match for the North West Under-15 age group took place at The Rectory with an inter-squad game taking place in bright but cold conditions.

Raymond Curry’s entertaining half century was the highlight of the Blues total of 158, hitting 5 fours and clearing the ropes twice in his 52.

Khayat Bhavsar (20) and Brendan Higgins (19) chipped in as the Blues were dismissed for 158 with three balls unused.

Corin Kyte with four wickets was the pick of the attack, while his Eglinton team mate Ross McLaughlin picked up two wickets, as did S Khan.

Connor King and James McKillop were the other wicket takers.

The Greens had little trouble passing the total, led by opener Conor King's half century.

The Ardmore teenager hitting five fours in his 51, as he and Jason Wallace (13) shared an opening stand of 64.

Robbie Millar (46*) and Craig Doherty (26*) both batted well to ensure the 8-wicket win.

Jack Bogle (1-17) and Stuart Kennedy (1-27) were the Blues wicket takers.

The U15’s will play two T20 trial matches at Ardmore on Sunday May 20th.
