Trinity enjoyed a very successful season last time out when they finished second. Can they repeat that again for the forthcoming season. Irish international Lorcan Tucker takes the skipper's armband.

They have signed ex-Merrion professional Jamie Brown as their overseas player, while the side has been strengthened by Mark Collier, Andrew Delany and Dean Brogan.

On the downside they have lost George Dockrell and Will von Behr who were the bedrock of much of their recent success.

Lorcan Tucker looked ahead to the new campaign saying: "Dean Brogan is in first year of college at Trinity, and is coming into the club off the back of some strong first team performances at his club, Rush. Hopefully he can settle comfortably into the team and give some strong showings with both bat and ball.

"Our squad has welcomed some new faces in recent months. With these exciting new additions, we hope to build on our good season last year.

"Our club professional, Jamie Brown, has had a very successful season back home and will hopefully utilise his previous experience in Irish conditions to his benefit.

"2018 is another big year for cricket at Trinity and we intend to compete at the top of Division Two."
