It's very much a case of as you were at Shaws Bridge as Instonians keep the faith with a settled squad which will see the familiar faces augmented by their impressive youngsters who are now one year older and wiser.

"Teenagers Oliver Metcalfe and James Hunter made a number of first team appearances last year but we hope to see them continue their development this year and put in some match winning performances," said captain Andrew White.

"James Metcalfe has made a promising start to his senior career and is currently returning after a serious hand injury. Ben Rose is another young player who featured on quite a number of occasions last year and made some really positive contributions.

"2017 was a very mixed season for Instonians where we really struggled in the league campaign but made the semi finals of the Irish Cup and the final of the NCU Challenge Cup.

"Hopefully this season will see more consistency and with many of our players pushing for representative honours, we hope we can see plenty of match winning performances from them.

"We may lose players from time to time to with representative fixtures and it will test the strength and depth of the squad, but that would be a great ‘problem’ to have. Most of all, we hope for an injury free season."
