Eglinton's chances of chasing silverware this season have been given a major boost with the news that they have brought in batsman Adam McDaid for the coming summer.
McDaid is undoubtedly one of the most talented players in the region but he would be the first to admit that he hasn't yet fulfilled his true potential.
He was a standout for Drummond in their relegation season last time and has plenty of top-flight experience after spells at both Limavady and Brigade.
It's a major coup for the villagers who must now be considered among the serious trophy-hunters.
As for the player, he insists that he is ready to do himself justice and that he can grab the attention of the Warriors' selectors.
"It's a good move for me. I know I can do it as this level and my only thoughts now are doing my best for Eglinton and working my way into Ian McGregor's plans."
