Munster Cricket are hosting a workshop on the New Laws of Cricket this Saturday 24th March in the River Lee Hotel, Cork. This is a once off opportunity not to be missed by any official wishing to be appointed to officiate in the coming season's MCU Competitions. The guest speaker will be Paddy O'Hara from NIACUS. Paddy holds the record for officiating in the most International Matches by an Irish Umpire - 47. Paddy was also a member of the M.C.C.'s Laws sub-committee responsible for the redrafting of the Laws in 2017.
The day's proceedings will begin at 12 noon with a Team Captains/Officials meeting on this season's Competition Regulations. It is mandatory that at least one representative from each team will attend this important meeting. This meeting will cover how the new Laws of Cricket will impact on the MCU Competition Regulations as well as the MCU Disciplinary Code.
Lunch will be provided between meetings and it is expected that the Laws of Cricket Workshop will finish at 5.30pm
A fee of 15 (payable on the day) per attendee is being applied to part-cover the cost of the days events.
This event should not be missed and non-attendance by any team could put them at a disadvantage by not being aware of the Law changes and their impact on this season's competitions.
