Muckamore have signed experienced Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Khan for the forthcoming season.

Shoaib Khan (39) is a stalwart of Pakistani domestic cricket, boasting an enviable record spanning 18 seasons and 247 matches across the 3 formats. Over 148 first-class games, Khan has churned out 7,656 runs at 35.44, including 17 hundreds, 38 fifties and highest score of 300 not out, struck during his most prolific season in 2003/04 (1,249 runs at 69.38).

Despite pushing 40, Khan continues to play domestic cricket, albeit has only featured in the 1 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy match this summer, despite two strong seasons prior (391 runs at 35.54 and 371 runs at 37.10 in 2014/15 and 2016/17 respectively).

The run machine has also been a stand-out professional in UK league cricket for well over a decade. He has starred for clubs in Ireland, Scotland and England, namely Camden (2003), Cliftonville (2004-05), Bowling Old Lane (2007), Scholes (2008), Gateshead Fell (2012), Clydesdale (2013) and Esher (2015-17).

Over the past three seasons for the latter, he has dominated the Surrey Championship, hitting 2,356 runs at 73.69 with 6 centuries (alongside 42 wickets at 26.40 with his off-spin). His 2016 summer was his most successful, hitting 899 runs averaging a Bradman-esque 99.89. He was also instrumental with club coaching, utilising his ECB level 2 coaching qualification.
