Leinster have Munster have had a change of thought about the inclusion of a second Munster team in Division Two.

They announced last month that Munster Stags would be replacing North Kildare in the second flight of Leinster cricket but one month later have scrapped the initiative.

Their joint statement cited 'logistical issues, cost concerns and player development potential'.

Division Two will now operate with just seven teams - Balbriggan, Cork County, Dublin University, Malahide, Railway Union, Rush and Terenure.

This means just 11 league games for the sides in the division as Dublin University play the other teams just once.
