YMCA have signed opening bowler Jarred Barnes ahead of the new season.
The 30 year-old South African born player has previously played for Coleraine who he helped to the Premier League title in 2013 and the Ulster Cup the following year.
His success with Coleraine earned him interprovincial recognition with the North-West Warriors.
He moved to Armagh last year after a proposed switch to Muckamore fell through, and he helped The Mall club to promotion to the top flight of NCU cricket.
A towering figure, Barnes has the ability to extract pace and bounce from the most docile of pitches.
"I'm delighted to have found a club in the South of Ireland that shares the same values as myself," said Barnes.
"I have no doubt that this move is going to make me a better player and I hope that I can have a similar influence and experience at YMCA as I had at Armagh."
YMCA President Heatley Tector welcomed the signing of Barnes saying: "I am delighted that Jarred Barnes has decided to join our club and I have no doubt that he will be a huge asset to us.
"He has very serious cricketing aspirations, which I have no doubt we can help him realise. We welcome Jarred and his wife to Claremont Road where I know they will be very happy."
