Afghanistan are being lined up for a six match Irish tour later this summer.

The two newest Full members won't however be playing a Test match, but will concentrating on white ball cricket.

They are provisionally scheduled to play three matches at Stormont on Monday August 20, Wednesday August 22, and Friday August 24.

The teams then head to the North-West for three T20 encounters at Bready.

Those games at Bready are down for decision on August 27th, 29th, and 31st.

The Magheramason ground hasn't enjoyed great fortunes with the weather Gods over the years, with series against Scotland, Hong Kong and the women against Bangladesh all being blighted by bad weather.

Let's hope for brighter skies come August.
