Former Ireland U19 skipper Jack Tector enjoyed a productive weekend in Sydney playing for Randwick Petersham.

The YMCA batsman is the latest Irishman to play for the 'Randy Petes' as part of an overseas exchange programme, and follows in the footsteps of Andy Balbirnie, Graeme McCarter, Peter Chase and Barry McCrathy.

He's overcome a tough initial acclimatisation period to top score with 67 last week against as his team beat Gordon - a performance which seems destined to earn him the Player of the Round accolade.

Tector has also impressed while skippering the club's Under 21 side, and his form could well earn him a recall to the first grade for the weekend fixtures.
