Newly promoted Armagh will face an early test of their credentials when they travel to Belmont to take on CIYMS in Round 1 of the 2018 competition, while the only other all Premiership tie will see CSNI host Carrickfergus.

The Preliminary round sees two fascinating ties with Cregagh and Laurelvale both newly promoted travelling to Lurgan and Bangor respectively, both home sides having uncomfortable ends to the 2017 season finishing together just above the relegation zone.

Woodvale have the daunting prospect of a visit to The Lawn as have Donacloney Mill to The Green.

Lisburn's relegation from the Premiership ensured that they would face local rivals Derriaghy twice in the League but a third meeting in the Cup brought murmurs of anticipation when they were drawn together.

No dates were announced for the ties but Secretary Bryan Milford announced that hopefully in the next week or so it would be possible to confirm the schedule of matches.
