It was a tough season for Lurgan but they managed to hold on to Section One status with a 7th placed finish.
The club's Ladies enjoyed double success winning the cup and the league in emphatic fashion.
Stephen Chambers topped the run charts with 477 at 34.07, ahead of overseas player Avadhoot Dandekar who scored 454 runs at 41.27 and Stephen Johnston who made 405 at 23.82.
Andrew Bingham and Oliver McCollum lead the bowling charts with 27 apiece, ahead of Peter Maxwell (23) and Dandekar (21) although Paul Stafford had the best average of bowlers who took more than 10 wickets.
Chambers had a good season with and without the gloves, showing safe hands in taking 15 catches, while Richard Clarke had 17 dismissals with the gloves.
Section One proved to be a very tight and hard-fought division in 2017 and there's no doubt it will be more of the same in 2018 - Lurgan have a solid base and with the addition of another player or two may have the potential to be there or thereabouts.
