Namibia have made it two wins from two games as the Africa T20 Cup continued today at Willowmoore Park, setting them up for a group deciding game tomorrow.
Namibian captain Sarel Burger won the toss and put home team Easterns in to bat, Namibia starting well when Tumelo Bodibe was run out for just one from the fourth ball of the match. A 60 run partnership for the second wicket swung things back the way of the home team before Wesley Marshall was run out for 30.
Wesley Coulentianos was caught and bowled by Sarel Burger for 31 soon afterwards, before Easterns captain Grant Thomson scored an unbeaten 40 to help his team post 149-4 from their 20 overs.
Lohan Louwrens then got Namibia's reply off to a great start, clubbing 76 from 44 balls as he and Stephan Baard put on 100 for the first wicket. That partnership ended when Louwrens was bowled by Matthew Arnold, and it was plain sailing for the visitors from then on.
Namibia eventually chased down their target in 18.3 overs to win by seven wickets. With only one team to qualify for the semi-finals, tomorrow's game against also unbeaten South West Districts essentially becomes a semi-final.
